You will need to setup TCP port forwarding in you router configuration for each slingbox.
You could try going to portforward.com http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/default.htm
Select your router and configure it. You will need a seperate port forward and IP address for each slingbox.

Purchased full license. I experienced the same issue that technicomp had. Running Jaksta on a god box - hexcore amd, 8gb ram, win7 ultimate, with slingbox wired to router. I get decent audio but the video frame rate is maybe 1 frame per sec. During recording the Jaksta UI shows stream running between 5 kbs and 10 kbs. Looks like mobiTV running on my a Razr via GPRS! Totally blows! Do not waste your money...

After you have the tcp port forwarding setup in you router I would check to make sure they appear open on the internet,
Try checking here with this open port tool.
http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/category/how-to-tools/

You can check 5001 and 5002. If not shown as open then fix that first.
What setup program and version are you using?

hey. i have had a slingbox for 4 years and a catcher for 3.. "they worked" great until i had this brilliant plan of adding another another slingbox. i bought one off ebay, set it up, did the internet viewing thing.. and it never finished.. so i did it manually like i used to. just added port 5002 and ip 192.000.1.254. thought it was working. but when someone where my catcher is said they keep getting a network error when they try to connect... so brilliant me ran the internet viewing set up on my original slingbox.. now neither of them work... i am pulling my hair out.. i don't know what is wrong.

i have 1st slingbox set as port 5001 ip 192.000.0.253 and 2nd 5002 ip 192.000.0.254.
yet when i run the set up internet viewing. it gets to almost complete do you use these mobel items? click next it asks do do the set up router and test. it goes right back to almost done just need to set up moble items..

any ideas?

I have disabled my TCP NAT and this has put my Slingbox PRO-HD into RELAY mode. Any ideas regarding why this is and/or what I can do to force SNATT mode? My router is NOT UPnP-capable.

I know the blog states the capacitors were from G-lux, but it may not actually be from G-lux...Although its possible heat is a contributing factor to this issue, another more insideous cause is a counterfeit capacitor. Counterfeit electronics coming out of China,Taiwan and other far east countries is a growing issue. Viewsonic, Dell, HP, and a slew of other companies have been hit by this issue. The company I work for was effected by counterfeit DC-DC converters. The outer casings were an exact copy of the original manufacture's but the internals were something entirely different. Depending on the circuit, a counterfeit part may not exhibit any symptoms until months or more have passed once in the field, so a burn-in procedure will not capture this before exiting the manufacturing floor.

Both my Slingbox SOLO and and old ViewSonic LCD fell victim to the same end (bulging caps). The issue with the SOLO was not the unit itself, but rather 2 680uF caps in the 5v 4A power brick. If you are worried about heat being a contributing factor then get industrial rated caps instead of the typical commercial rated caps and you should always verify the ESR is not too far off.

Forgot your password to the Slingbox? If so you will need to do a hard reset on it and then set it up again choosing a new password.
