It kinda sounds like the download might be corrupt. You might try and uninstall the program then download a new install and try again.

I have installed on a XP SP3 laptop and it works fine.

This Error usually comes up when the wizard doesnt install the drivers automatically…
thats why we need to install the drivers manually …
And for your information it shows hava however its the same service for vulkano..

Here are the steps that u need to follow :

Try Installing the HAVA Drivers Manually:

In order to install HAVA Remote Video Drivers  ; HAVA Video Drivers Under Sound Video And Game Controllers:

Go to Control Panel  ; Switch To Classic View  ; Add Hardware  ; Browse to Add a New Hardware Device  ; Select Manually  ; Sound Video and Game Controllers Category  ; Monsoon Multimedia ( If Monsoon Multimedia is missing Click on Have Disk  ;C:/Program Files/Monsoon Multimedia/Vulkano/Drivers/ and Select HAVATV or HAVATV_10 and Click on Open  ; Ok )  ; Highlight HAVA Remote Video Device . Next. Follow the same Steps to Install HAVA Video Device .

For HAVA Bus Enumerator  ; Again Add Hardware Wizard  ; Follow the same Steps  ; Select System Device  ;
Monsoon Multimedia Inc As Manufacturer and HAVA bus Enumerator as Model.
Select the Second Monsoon Multimedia, Inc. First one contains the different versions.

Once Done Install HAVA Service :

·          Click on Start

·          In Run Open Box Type CMD

·          Right Click on the Command Prompt and Click on “Run as Administrator”.

·          In command Prompt Window

·          Type CD and hit enter

·          Type CD Program Files and hit Enter

·          Type CD Monsoon Multimedia and Hit Enter Type CD Vulkano and Hit Enter Type CD Drivers and Hit Enter

·          At C:Program FilesMonsoon MultimediaVulkanoDrivers ; Type Havasvc -install to Install it.

Now you have to Enable the Vulkano Service in the Services Window. Click on Start  ; In Run Open Box Type services.msc and hit enter. Locate Vulkano Service and Right Click on it and Click on Start the Service.

Great info Noida! Is there anyway to check or see before hand if the drivers were installed correctly?

They do still use some HAVA named files even for the Vulkano but that shouldn't cause an issue.
