From manikpi on another Forum.

Hi Place Shifting, thanks for the file. However please note, only the
channel numbers and the power buttons are working correctly. The rest
are mixed. Any advice? Can I use learned function together with this
code?(it never worked though, may be i don't know)

And, do I need
to copy both files or only the bin file?

Please help. Thanks.

I thought that might be the case.

Here's what I did I took the RMDU RemoteMaster source file for the Thomson
DCI-625 HB from this Zip file. http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=6960

Then changed it to a SlingBox with UEI PK Chip. When I did so I received this message in RemoteMaster.

But I exported the binary anyway to let you at least test it.

So some of the others functions need to be assigned properly for a PK chip.

This probably doesn't make much sense to you right now but it's a start and lets other remote guru's see what I did so far.

To answer the last question. You only need to copy or use the Bin file. The other file in the Zip is the RMDU file that was used to create it. I included it in case anyone else wanted to play with it.

You seem to have it all under control, but if you need a hand let me know

Actually that is probably kinda at the end of my RemoteMaster knowledge. I am not sure how to re-assign those codes. I haven't messed with remoteMaster for a long time. I never had to, you know way more than I on how it works!

The original post was here. http://www.monsoonmultimedia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&p=1…..452#p19986

But they don't allow any new registrations there so anyone who wanted to be a new member can't post any help info.  I posted the info here so folks like you could help. :) . If manikpi comes over from the Hava forums and wants to follow up on this somemore then maybe you can help more than I can.

Until then, no worries.

Hi Brandon & alanrichey,

Thanks for your help, unfortunately, only PK files of V2010 are recognised by the video setup wizard. Need some more help on this.

Thank you.

Sorry, don't understand what you mean by 'only PK files of V2010 are recognised'.

What EXACTLY do you mean ?   Use as many words of one syllable as you can and assume I know NOTHING !!!

Meanwhile here is a 'fixed' version of Brandon's file that implement all the functions

Hi alanrichey,

There are following files available and among them only PK file is being detected by hava directory. I don't understand why the other two are not detected. In the default directory other PL files are available and detected but they are not usefull.

V2010_PL.bin

V2010_RV.bin

V2010_PK.bin

I have replaced your PK file with the one brandon posted earlier, but no difference. However, I will try to check the other options.

Anyway, thanks for your help. My earleir post was done in a rush, I was late for …..

OK, I know nothing about Hava, but for Slingboxes, it only 'sees' the file that is associated with it's IR Chip.  For US-built Slingboxes it sees the PL file and for EU boxes it sees the RV file.

So if the Hava is fitted with a PK chip then I would only expect it to 'see' the PK file.

If part of the functions are working then at least we know the IR Protocol and Device codes are correct, we just need to find the missing button codes.

And what other 'options' are you talking about ?

It should just ignore the other chip codes..

manikpi,

To know the IR Blaster Version of HAVA: Run HAVA Setup Wizard > Click
Next until Advanced is Highlighted > Click on Advanced Once> Wait
for the information to get populated. Note Down the information.

To load the new remote code.

Steps:
1. Launch “HAVA Wizard”
2.
Go to Advanced>>Video>>IR Blaster tab
3. Enter “V2010”
into “If you know the code” field and click Enter button
4. Test some
commands from the drop-down menu and exit
5. Launch HAVA Player
6.
Connect to the box
7. Test all IR commands on the remote control
drop-down menu (some will show up as “Custom#”)
