Well Mike your wish has been granted as the Vulkano Blast with internal hard drive for recording to as the Vulkano Lava catcher devices have been released and work fine.

 

$100 for a Vulkano Flow to stream from as host and $250 for Lava for your TV, with many more features than sling has and at better quality.
