I wanted to see if anyone here is using Unblock-us – it is a service that allows you to surf US streaming site remotely (e.g. Netflix, Hulu) without the need for a VPN or proxy server (VPNs are over loaded and proxies usually do not work for this purpose..). The advantage with Unblock-us is that it 'tags' the incoming stream with the ip of the site you are trying to reach but the outgoing stream comes directly to you and you do not lose the bandwidth lost on VPNs.
The problem with Unblock-US is that they still do not support all US content – HBO GO is only partially supported (just PCs no support on devices such as Roku players or iPads…), MAX GO is not supported and so is EpixHD. First two you need to have a US cable account to watch (or a friend with one) but the last one I mentioned is open to others as well.
Anyway Unblock US has no forum on their site so I was hoping a discussion about their services could develop here with people expressing their 'wish list' to what they think still requires attention….

I'm currently using the service with two logitech Revues running GoogleTv to access U.K programming. I've had mixed success with the service. The router closest to one Revue, ethernet connected, works fine. It plays the stream pretty consistent; only a few hiccups now and then. The other Revue, also ethernet connected, but through a 50 foot ethernet cable, isn't that consistent with the service. Scratching my head on this one, because I've switched to another cable, tried to connect through wi-fi, switched the upstairs box with the downstairs revue box and just can't get a consistent stream. Everything else streamed on both Revues work fine, including the slingbox stream ( minus the freezing issue ), so I'm at a loss. Getting a 20mb download speed test, so its not a bandwidth issue.
For the $5, it's worth it to at least have one box working, so I'm relatively happy with the service. I originally was trying to find a VPN solution to GoogleTV without having to run a separate VPN router. Turns out GoogleTV doesn't support VPN, so that was a non-starter. This service sidesteps the problem, so it's a unique way to get around regional protected content.
I would suggest it for those that don't want to tax their slingbox all the time. I personally would use the sling app on the Revue more, but right now the freezing issue is so bad and its just too buggy to make it a viable alternative to the slingcatcher.
