SlingCatcher Freezing after a Minute

I've got a Sling HD behind an Apple Extreme with Port 5001 open and a dedicated IP for the Sling HD.   I have FIOS with 5mbps up and 20 mbps down.   At the SlingCatcher side I have DSL with .85mbps up and 13mbps down behind a Netgear WNDR3700.

After starting up the Sling Catcher and connecting, with a nice rate of 2000K it freezes after 30 seconds or so.  Does the same on the IPAD application.

Are there tweaks I can make to the Netgear router?   Can I have high latency with such fast connections?

Still having this problem after two months.  Is there no help here?  I switched out my Netgear router for an Apple Extreme on the SlingCatcher end and this took the freezes from one minute to about 5 minutes of watching before freezing..  I've got:

Host:

SlingboxHD

FIOS 20/mb down 5 mb up

Apple AP Extreme

Remote:

SlingCatcher

DSL 15mb down 1mb up

Apple AP Extreme

It could be possible that you have an MTU size problem. You may try changing your Apple AP Extreme MTU size, if possible, from default or 1500 down to something like 1454 and see if that helps.

THanks ericrenata

I will try the lower firmware.

Brandon, Unfortunately there is no MTU setting on the APE's.   Is it possible to adjust the MTU on the SlingHD since it is transmitting the packets and the APE's are just passing them upstream?

Or how about inserting another router whose MTU settings can be set between the SlingHD and the APE on the host end?

PS I tried opening UDP ports in addition to TCP, but I think the Sling Catcher can only read TCP packets.
