Is anyone else having a problem connecting to the Beta remotes site from Sling Media at  http://betaremotes.slingbox.com/

I tried to log in and got this… "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete."

It was about a month ago not two.  I know, because I was writing up a wiki page about betaremotes.

Really 2 months ago? What's up with them?

I was going to try to create a remote file for my Panasonic Blu Ray player like SgtRock did for his on his Vulkano box  but I can't even access the site.  I looked at his learned remote file and couldn't figure out how to make it work for a Slingbox.

Maybe Sling has decided to give up on letting people create their own remote files.  Very frustrating.

No, that's an overexaggeration from someone who skipped taking their Ritalin. The exact day was August 3rd, 2010. I can tell that from all the time stamps on the screenshots which I was using to document how to use it. The whole fiasco happend in the middle of me taking screenshots which is why the respective wiki page is only 98% comlete.

Yes !I've tried it!! I guess something is wrong with the commands on these files! The CableBox receives the signal but, nothing changes! Do you know who developed this rm file? I can give him access to my Sling in order to test it!!!!

Reading some forums  in Brazil, I found out that the remote for that LexuzBox F30 is exactly the same of AzBox Evo XL !

So , I downloaded the files for AzBox Evo FTA Receiver and, 80% of the commands are working now!!

Do you know if is there any especific file for Evo XL?

'80%' doesn't help much.   Which buttons EXACTLY are not working ?

I created it Laugh It was created from an XML file from betaremotes site.  I converted it to a remote update bin.

If you still have your original web slingplayer text file, then you can seach for this pattern "/irservices/rest/v1/learntremote/"
it will be followed by a  36 digit GUID with letters, numbers, and four
dashes.  If you can find that number then I can look up your learned
remote and probably produce an remote update bin for your Slingbox.

Give us the URL to download the file, and let us know exactly which buttons do work and don't work.

I got it ! It is working perfect! I edited the file for AzBox Evo FTA Receiver  with RemoteMaster and created new bin files for LexuzBox F30!

Thank you ! What is the best place to put that bin file available for everybody!

To be really helpful, you should upload your files in 2 different places:

  1. Upload your ZIP file with PL & RV BINs to the Slingbox Binary Files area.
  2. Upload the Remote Master RMDU source file to the Slingbox RM Files area.
