I tired swtich the port on my slingbox and the internet browser frooze.  I ended up having to reset the slingbox because it was unable to connect when I tried to set it up again.  I was able to configure the slingbox partically, but once it got to the port fowarding page and I did it manually and it said the internet broswer has crashed. This happens on the reboot phase of the setup. This is happening on Internet Explore and Firefox.  Would bad capicators in the slingbox cause this?  I'm doing all this over logmein.com.  I'm thinking the slingbox is bad.  Any ideas?

Bad capacitors, weak power supply or overheating could cause that but I would try the stand alone player and see if you can config that way.

I lost the installation cd that came with it.  So what your saying is I can configure my slingbox through the slingplayer application that I can download from slingbox.com?

Right. There is a stand alone SlingPlayer Program you can use. Quite a few people prefer it over the web browser player.

Here a the list of the various ones.

When my Aunt trys to reset it for me that lights flash, but the unit doesn't show that it reset.  I've read online about that and most people say it's a bad power supply.  Were can I buy one that won't die soon?  I've only had my Solo for 9 months.

I fixed the issue along time ago.  If anyone else has this, just do I physical reset of the Slingbox and wait for the lights to quit flashing.  In my case it was trying to download the latest firmware, but I kept resetting it trying to get the flashing lights to quit.
