Thursday my Slingbox Pro that is one thousand miles away decided to switch the country code from USA to an unknown.  The box says it is NOT intended for use in the USA.  This was bought direct from Sling and shipped directly to me.  Yes I do live in the USA.  The other inputs work fine.  Just not the tuner.  I know the tuner in the Pro is active because of the analog video noise in the picture and noise in the audio.  There is a box in the middle of the screen saying the signal is weak.  Resetting the box and trying to reprogram hasn't worked.  I have seen members talking about bad caps, especially in the Solo, but not the pro.  Any ideas?  I do have an RF background that's why I described it the way I did.  Thanks

I am currently experiencing the same problem.  Slingbox Pro (USA) worked fine for 2 years, then put it away for a while.  Pulled it out a year or so later and hooked it up, went through a firmware update, now it says that the Slingbox isn't intended for use in the USA and the analog tuner doesn't work correctly.  Didn't want to bump a thread that's a year old, but searched and couldn't find anything related to this issue.  Just wondering if there is a solution.  If so, could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks, dontstoptherockin

This has come up several times especially when one goes from a fairly old firmware to the latest one without stepping through previous firmware updates.

I would try unplugging your IR blaster cables if connected and then doing a hard reset of the Slingbox. Try and go through the setup wizard again and see if you get the same error. There has been several reports of this same problem and after doing the reset and all they still get the same error and had to replace their Slingbox.frown
