Are there any other users out there running the Jaksta for Slingbox application on there Windows PC?  I wanted to share discussion of successes or failures.  The technical support I am getting from Jaksta is limited.  Hoping I can find other users.

I have played with it off and on for a couple of years. I never really needed it since I use a DVR to record but it seemed to work fairly well.

I don't know how it does on the newer Slingboxes these days but my guess it is that it's still limited to 320x240 resolution.

1) yes still works. Sort of. With that low video stream resolution. Actually found I had to reduce the resolution even further to get functionality out of the video stream. The captured stream has many video artifacts, but at least video and audio are synchronized.
2) am recording in the same LAN using a SLINGBOX solo. Just not sure why I can not even get 320 x 240. when I am at this resolution I only get 1 frame captured every 5 seconds. Seems like JAKSTA is still kind of buggy. Can not recommend it unless you like to experiment. Which I do.

Will keep playing with it and report back.

I would have to say if you really want to record your video then you may want to look at the Vulkano. Right now the Vulkano Flow is about $100.00 and you can record to your computer with it. A Vulkano Lava or Blast will let you record to it's included storage.

If you think you may have the need to record a bunch of video that might be the way to go.

Am going to try out the vulcano flow and see if it works.  thanks for the suggestion.

Canceled my order a few hours later.  The FLOW does not let you record at a later time.  There is no way to do that with this unit.

Will need to check on the LAVA or the BLAST, but think those are expensive alternatives.
