Depending on what model of Sling box device you want to view on your computer there may be times when having both the newest stand alone SlingPlayer for Windows version 220.127.116.112 and Version of SlingPlayer for Windows 18.104.22.1688 available on the same computer.
For example you can connect and view a Dish VIP922 using the 1.5 version of the SlingPlayer program but not the 2.0 version.
By installing and renaming a few files this is easy to do.
You could do this by first installing the 1.5 version of the player program. If you already have the 2.0 version installed on your computer you will have to uninstall it first.
You can run the 2.o uninstaller but tell it to leave your previous settings and do not delete so they will be available when your reinstall 2.0.
